Tumble Dryer Thermostat Kit One Shot & Cycling TOC for Hotpoint Indesit
Tumble Dryer Thermostat Kit One Shot & Cycling TOC for Hotpoint Indesit
If your tumble dryer turns but blows cold air, or heats for a while and then stops, one of the heater cut-outs has probably tripped or failed. This kit replaces both: a one-shot thermal cut-out (white base) and a cycling TOC thermostat (black), for selected Hotpoint and Indesit condenser tumble dryers.

What This Part Does
The two cut-outs protect the heater. The cycling thermostat switches the heater off when the air gets too hot and resets itself as it cools. The one-shot cut-out is a last line of protection: once it trips it stays open and must be replaced. When either fails or trips, the drum keeps turning but the dryer blows cold air. Replace both together.
Common Fault Symptoms
- The drum turns but the dryer blows cold air
- The dryer heats briefly and then goes cold
- Clothes are still damp after a full programme
- The dryer overheated, often after a blocked filter or condenser
- A cut-out tests open-circuit on a meter

A tripped one-shot cut-out almost always means the dryer overheated. Clean the fluff filter and condenser before fitting, or the new cut-outs may trip too. Check the model number inside the door and compare your old cut-outs with the photos. If you are unsure, send us your model number and we will check it for you.
