What This Part Does
The exhaust thermostat sits in the airflow leaving the drum. When the exhaust air reaches 60°C it switches the heater off, then switches it back on as the air cools, keeping the drying temperature under control. If it fails open, the dryer runs cold; if it sticks, the dryer can overheat and trip its safety cut-out.
