What This Part Does
The drive belt links the vacuum's motor to the rotating brush bar. The brush bar lifts dust and hair out of carpet so the suction can carry it away. Belts stretch and wear with use, and can snap if something gets caught in the brush bar, so they are a routine replacement on most uprights.

Repair Difficulty
Easy. Unplug the vacuum, remove the base plate under the brush bar, lift out the brush bar and fit the new belt over the motor spindle and brush bar pulley, then refit. Most uprights need only a screwdriver or a coin for the base plate clips.

These belts are compatible with YMH-28950 type belts and equivalent to 35600744 (the Hoover V29 belt). The pack contains two belts, so you have a spare for next time.
