What This Part Does
The door interlock is a small electrical switch and locking pin fitted behind the door catch on the front of the machine. When the door closes, the catch enters the interlock; when a programme starts, the interlock locks it and signals the control board that the door is secure. Repair Difficulty
Moderate: unplug the machine, fold back the front door seal and remove its retaining band, then undo the two interlock screws beside the door catch and reach the interlock from inside the opening. Move the wiring plug to the new interlock exactly as it was. Allow around 20 to 30 minutes.
