Tumble Dryer Thermostat Kit 120°C 150°C for Hotpoint Indesit Creda
Tumble Dryer Thermostat Kit 120°C 150°C for Hotpoint Indesit Creda
If your tumble dryer turns but blows cold air, or heats for a while and then stops, one of the heater cut-outs has probably tripped or failed. This kit replaces both: a 120°C auto-reset cycling cut-out and a 150°C one-shot safety cut-out, for selected Hotpoint, Indesit, Ariston, Creda and Proline dryers fitted with DBK-made heater units.

What This Part Does
The two cut-outs protect the heater. The 120°C cycling cut-out switches the heater off when the air gets too hot and resets itself as it cools. The 150°C one-shot cut-out is a last line of protection: once it trips it stays open and must be replaced. When either fails or trips, the drum keeps turning but the dryer blows cold air.
Common Fault Symptoms
- The drum turns but the dryer blows cold air
- The dryer heats briefly and then goes cold
- Clothes are still damp after a full programme
- The dryer overheated, often after a blocked filter or condenser
- A cut-out tests open-circuit on a meter

Repair Difficulty
Moderate. Unplug the dryer and remove the rear panel to reach the heater. Each cut-out is held by screws or a clip and has two spade connectors. Fit the 120°C and 150°C cut-outs in the same positions as the originals, matching by temperature rather than spot colour.
Typical Tools Required
- Screwdrivers to remove the rear panel
- Multimeter (optional) to test the old cut-outs
- Phone camera to record which cut-out goes where
Description
This kit is equivalent to C00112196. It is known in the trade as the 'blue for red spot' kit: the spot colours on the supplied cut-outs may differ from your originals, so always match them by the stamped temperatures, 120°C and 150°C.
A tripped one-shot cut-out almost always means the dryer overheated. Clean the fluff filter, condenser or vent hose before fitting, or the new cut-outs may trip too. Check that your dryer has a DBK heater and compare your old cut-outs with the photos. If you are unsure, send us your model number and we will check it for you.
