What This Part Does
The two thermostats sit on the heater housing and switch the heater off if the air gets too hot. The lower rated thermostat controls normal overheating, and the higher rated one is a safety cut-out. When either one trips or fails, the dryer keeps turning but blows cold air.
Common Fault Symptoms
- The drum turns but the dryer blows cold air
- The dryer heats for a short time and then goes cold
- Clothes are still damp after a full programme
- The dryer has overheated, often after a blocked filter or condenser
- A thermostat tests open-circuit on a meter

Description
This kit is compatible with part C00095566. It replaces both heater thermostats at once, so you do not have to guess which one has failed.
Thermostats usually trip because hot air cannot escape. Before fitting the new kit, clean the fluff filter, the condenser and any vent hose, or the new thermostats may trip too. Check your dryer's model number on the label inside the door and compare your old thermostats with the photos. If unsure, send us your model number and we will check it for you.
