What This Part Does

The door interlock sits behind the door seal on the front of the cabinet. When a programme starts it locks the door and confirms to the control board that it is safe to fill and spin. This is a delay-type interlock: after the wash finishes it keeps the door locked for around two minutes before releasing it. If the interlock fails, the machine may refuse to start, stop part-way through or keep the door locked.
